All of our products are made by hand and made to order. Our lead times for shoes and accessories may vary based on order volume. If you need your shoes by a specific date, please keep our lead time in mind. Our current lead time status is below:

Cord's shoes and boots are available in standard US sizes. Unless stated otherwise, Women's shoes are C-width, and Men's shoes are D-width. (If you require a narrower or wider shoe, please contact us for more information.)
We've provided the following sizing charts and measuring instructions to help you find your best fit. After referring to our instructions and visual aids below, measure the length of both of your feet. Take the length measurement of your longer foot and compare it to the sizing chart to find your correct size.
If you're at all unsure about your size, we're happy to help you try to find your best fit. We strongly recommend first using a Brannock Device, which can be found at most shoe stores. If you don't have easy access to a Brannock Device, there are several foot measurements you can take by yourself. We recommend using them while referring to our sizing charts above. In order to get these measurements, you will need to trace the outline of your foot on a piece of paper.
You may find it helpful to have someone else trace your foot, but you can also do it by yourself.
To trace your foot, you need to be wearing socks similar to the ones you will wear with the shoes you are buying. Kneel (or stand if you can find a friend to help you) with one foot firmly on the floor, in a natural position.
Trace the outline of your foot all the way around. Make sure to hold the pencil upright and perpendicular to the paper. Do not angle the pencil. Repeat with the other foot.
Once you've traced your feet, you will be able to get measurements for the length and width of each foot. The length of your foot should be measured from the end of your big toe to the midpoint of your heel. The width should be measured at the widest point of the foot.
The last measurement can be taken directly from your foot using a soft measuring tape. This measurement is the widest part of the foot, or the ball joint. Using the soft measuring tape, measure completely around the foot at the ball. Gently pull the tape snug, but not tight. Repeat with the other foot.

The majority of our shoes, boots, and accessories are handcrafted completely from leather—a natural material. Just like every cow, every hide is unique. Small variations in color, marks, or veins are natural features and should not be considered as imperfections.
Our goods are made from some of the world's finest leather. Tanned to specification by the Boaventura family in Alcanena, Portugal, our upper leather originates from the best quality full grain hides in the Iberian Peninsula. Drawing on nearly 100 years of excellence and tradition, the Curtumes Boaventura Tannery processes its materials completely from raw to finished hides. Boaventura leather is produced using a classic tannage from their proprietary recipe, followed by a retannage utilizing high-tech waterproofing systems, and then it is finished with anilines and oils to give the leather its rare and complex appearance.

Our footwear products and accessories are 100% made by hand to order. As a result, processing and production times may vary. You will receive an email confirmation at the time that you place your order. Upon completion of your shoes, boots, or accessories, you will receive a second email notification containing your tracking number along with confirmation that your order has been shipped.
Please send any change requests to email@example.com. We will make every attempt to accommodate your request, however changes can only be made before your order goes into production. We accept payment with debit and credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB.
Along with thousands of other companies, we use Stripe to process our credit payments, ensuring the highest level of security for our customers. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification. When you place an order, the transaction will be charged to your credit card only after we have verified your card details and received credit authorization.
Cord Shoes also accepts Bitcoin digital currency via BitPay.
All prices displayed on our website are quoted in U.S. dollars.
We offer payment plans through PayPal Credit. PayPal Credit is a line of credit that gives you the flexibility to pay for your Cord purchase now, or pay it over time. It’s easy to apply for Paypal Credit and easy to use. Note: Cord Shoes + Boots is not a participant in or sponsor of this promotion. All interest is collected by the lender.
Prices displayed on the website are exclusive of taxes. If you are shopping within GA, 7% sales tax will be charged. Taxes are calculated at the time of checkout.
If you pay using an American Express card, you may notice your Cord transaction as a pending charge from “ONLINE PAYMENT PROCESSED” or “STRIPE” for Internet Services in San Francisco, CA. This is currently an open issue that American Express and Stripe are working to resolve. When your charge ultimately posts, it will correctly show “Cord Shoes and Boots” in the description.
If your card fails to validate during checkout, you may still experience a pending transaction on your card statement. It may look like the charge has posted to your account, but it should fall off after a few business days.↑ Back to top
All domestic orders are shipped via FedEx Ground service or USPS. Smaller accessories are shipped via USPS. All orders are shipped from Atlanta, GA.
Upon shipment, FedEx Ground/ USPS can take anywhere from 1 – 7 business days, depending on your proximity to Atlanta.
Cord insures each purchase from the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your destination.
We ship all international orders DDU (delivered duty unpaid), and we do not collect VAT (value added taxes). All taxes, duties, and customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient of the package.
We offer flat rate international shipping via USPS Priority Mail International to the locations listed below. If you do not see your country/region listed, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to accommodate your request.
*Customs Fees/Taxes: By placing an order with Cord Shoes + Boots, you agree to pay all applicable customs fees and/or taxes at the time of delivery. Some countries impose entry charges, and will charge additional duties and/or taxes when your parcel enters your country. To determine these charges ahead of time, please contact your country's Customs Department.
*Customs Delay: We cannot guarantee specific arrival dates or delivery times for international orders based on the possibility of delays due to customs, weather, and/or remote location. Please be advised that we are not responsible for any such clearance delays, and such delays can extend delivery times.
*Please Note: International shipments that are abandoned by the customer due to refusal to pay applicable duties, taxes, and/or fees are not eligible for any refunds or exchanges.
Our Returns & Exchanges Policy lasts 7 days. Only returns/exchanges of unworn, undamaged products or goods ("Merchandise") will be accepted. If 7 days have gone by since receiving your Merchandise, unfortunately we can’t offer you a return, refund, or exchange. Customers must email email@example.com within 7 days from the delivery date to request a Return Authorization Number ("RAN"), with a clear indication of order numbers, item codes, and quantity. Customers must return the Merchandise within 7 days from receiving the RAN. Customers are required to write the RAN on the outside shipping box.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, Merchandise must be returned in original condition in original boxes and/or packaging. No refunds or exchanges will be granted until we have verified return condition. Footwear returns must include the original shoe box in its original condition and without postage labels.
To ensure that footwear products are not damaged, they should be tried on and tested only on a clean carpet or towel. When trying on and taking off footwear products, we also ask that you carefully loosen laces in order to minimize any potential wear or stretching to tongues or eyelets.
Cord Shoes and Boots has the right to deny returns and/or exchanges if the Merchandise does not meet the Returns & Exchanges Policy requirements. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Only regular catalog Merchandise may be returned or refunded. Unfortunately, custom items or items with any modifications to the regular catalog offering cannot be returned or refunded.
If you are returning or exchanging any Merchandise, you are responsible for all return and secondary shipping costs. Shipments from courier services will not be accepted due to brokerage costs. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning or exchanging your Merchandise. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
In the event of a return with refund:
If Cord provides you with a return shipping label, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
In the event of an exchange:
If Cord provides you with an exchange shipping label, the cost of both the exchange shipping as well as the secondary shipping will be included in a new customer invoice.
If a customer chooses to send an exchange or return using a shipping label not provided by Cord, please keep in mind that Cord is not liable for damaged or lost packages. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Customers will take full responsibility for all returns and exchanges. After contacting email@example.com, requesting a RAN, and clearly writing your RAN on the outside of your shipping box, please choose the shipping method of your choice. Cord recommends a trackable shipping service such as DHL Express or FedEx International. We also recommend purchasing full shipping insurance as we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. (If applicable, please also clearly write your RAN on your International Air Waybill. Customer/sender is responsible for all transportation charges.)
Unfortunately, we cannot refund your original international shipping charges. Additionally, we cannot refund customs, duties, taxes, VAT or tariffs. In special cases, if you are returning a purchase, you may be eligible for a refund of a portion or all of the duties and taxes from your local customs office. Contact that office directly for details.
